Gabriel is originally from Mexico City, a decendant of a Nahuatl Community in the state of Puebla. The aim of his work is to produce "everyday" products that incorporate traditional work and reflect the natural world. Gabriel has been working with leather for more than 19 years and loves what he does which is reflected in the quality of his work. He and his family make moccasins, boots and purses as well as clothing and amber jewelry. They also make bamboo instruments such as rainsticks and teponaztles. Gabriel's work has been evolving and constantly changing through the years although the quality remains wonderful always. His inspiration comes from the materials he is using, the natural world around us and his culture. His aim is to make us aware that although we live in a modern world, we belong to and live in harmony with the natural world.
All of the items we have for sale are representative of his culture or of the many indigenous cultures that exist in Mexico.
